My latest natural edge designs

Here’s a selection of my latest natural edge bowls, soon to be featured on my site. I’ve been working with a variety of woods this month, although burr elm and yew will always be my favourites!

The two burr elm bowls feature plenty of gnarly spikes and were certainly a challenge to make. Hand finishing the inside can be a little scary – especially when there’s a rotating hole!

I’ve a range of burry blanks seasoning at the moment, which should produce some even more impressive designs. These will be going into my newly built drying kiln, which is almost ready to go. I’ll be posting some details on this kiln quite soon, so do pop back for a look…
