Getting ready for my next exhibition

With Christmas only three weeks away, things are getting a lot more hectic in the workshop! Not only am I gradually working through my orders and commissions, but I’m getting ready for my next exhibition.

From 16th December until 24th February, I will be displaying some of my larger bespoke pieces in the C-art pop up gallery, at the Tullie House museum in Carlisle. This exhibition will be showcasing work by a small selection of artists who were involved with the C-art open studio event in September.

Tullie House was established in 1893 and houses a considerable collection of fine and decorative art, human history and natural sciences. In 1990 the site was redeveloped and the museum expanded to include an art gallery, shop and restaurant amongst many other improvements. The C-art pop up shop will be situated in the reception area, just inside the main entrance. Click here for the museum opening times.

I’ve already made a rather dramatic hollowed elm burr and some very rustic natural edge yew bowls, all of which will be on display. These will be followed shortly by some rather nice fruit bowls in spalted beech and yew…
