Exquisite knives handmade in the USA by Wallace Hammond

I’ve recently sent some burr elm to US craftsman Wallace Hammond, who produces some of the finest knives I have seen. Made from a special grade of stainless steel, they incorporate Cumbrian burr wych elm for the handles…

I will be focusing on his work in detail quite soon, however I have to attach some images of the one he’s just made for me, as the quality is simply stunning! As you can see below, the knife fits inside the sheath perfectly…

The detailing on the sheath is exquisite...

The top image gives a clear indication of all the work involved. The handle consists of two halves, which are secured in place by stainless steel pins. The fit and finish is incredible – not a single joint can be felt. Below is a close up of the handle, showing the beautiful burry grain…
